Ngāti Ruanui partnered with Te Papa Atawhai (DOC) over several years to build a soaring 100-metre suspension bridge over the Manganui Gorge.
Funding from the Toi Foundation helped Ngāti Ruanui commission cultural artwork on two of the bridge masts, including a stunning sculpture named Te Rakahore, representing the personification of rock.
