Age Concern Taranaki

Age Concern Taranaki is a non profit organisation supporting people over 65 years to live valued and meaningful lives.

Funding from Toi Foundation helps the organisation provide the AgeConnect service.

Social groups help older people feel included and support them with loneliness and isolation that can occur when they are distanced from family and friends.

The funding helps with wages, venues, and the cost of providing fun social activities and refreshments.

Over 400 people are impacted by the service. The kaumātua or older people make connections, build their networks and have meaningful conversations with their peers.
