Multi Ethnic Extravaganza

The 28th annual Multi Ethnic Extravaganza brought together ethnic communities in Taranaki representing 35 nationalities.

The event included cultural food stalls, an arts and crafts stall, workshops and a parade of the local ethnic community.

It was important to the organisers to keep the event accessible. Entry was by gold coin donation.

A grant of $30k from Toi Foundation contributed to the extravaganza and other initiatives that are coordinated by the Multi Ethnic Council.

The organisation aims to foster an understanding of the ethnic cultures of all individuals in the region and to share with the wider community of Taranaki.
