Ngati Mutunga
Urenui Pā holds a special significance for the people of Ngāti Mutunga, as the sole remaining pā of the iwi.
Funding from the Toi Foundation has enabled Ngāti Mutunga to engage with professionals on the journey to the design and construction of a healthier, stronger marae. Building is projected to commence next year.
This project aims to connect the Ngāti Mutunga people back to their marae.
