PROTECTING PARININIHI

Tiaki Te Mauri O Parininihi Trust operates in North Taranaki on the coast  at Parininihi 
 
They have a mission to protect the mauri of Parininihi and enhance iwi connection to the land through species protection activities such as caring for the recently reintroduced kōkako population and monitoring other taonga species such as kiwi.
 
Recent funding from the Toi Foundation has enabled the Trust to employ and train more young people from the iwi and start a new seabird monitoring project.
